The beach season here runs well into autumn. Average highs, from NOAA's 1991–2020 normals for Paphos airport, are around 25°C in May, 30–31°C in July and August and still 27°C in October, while the sea is typically 24°C in June, 28–29°C in August and around 25°C through October. Summer is almost completely dry, with barely any rain recorded between June and September.
October is the standout month: warm water, highs in the high 20s and far less intense heat than midsummer. April and May suit walking in the Akamas or touring the mosaics, though the sea is still a fresh 18–21°C. Winter is mild, at around 17–19°C by day, but almost all of the year's roughly 390mm of rain falls between November and March, with December and January the wettest months.
Orthodox Easter falls on 2 May in 2027, and Good Friday through to Easter Monday are all public holidays in Cyprus, worth knowing if your dates fall around then.
