Orlando: flights, driving and parks

You can drive in the US on a UK photocard licence, but some states also want the 1949 international driving permit, and the FCDO notes that hire firms often ask for a year's driving experience or set a higher minimum age. Bali and Cempedak: getting there and getting around

There are no direct flights from the UK to Bali; you change once, typically in Singapore, Dubai, Doha, Hong Kong or Kuala Lumpur. You cannot drive in Indonesia on a UK licence alone (you need a UK-issued international driving permit), and the FCDO describes traffic discipline as very poor, with a large rise in moped accidents in Bali, so many visitors use a private driver. When to go
- Florida: the Atlantic hurricane season runs from 1 June to 30 November, with most activity between mid-August and mid-October.
- Bali: April to October is the drier season; November to March brings most of the year's rain.
When you ask for a quote, give every traveller's age, children included, as it affects the price and which villas fit your party.

Can children come on a villa holiday?
It depends on the property. Check each villa's age policy on the deal page before you enquire, as some resorts accept adults only.
Do I need travel insurance for a villa holiday?
Yes. The FCDO advises taking out insurance that covers your destination and planned activities, including hospital treatment. For a Florida trip in hurricane season, check that the policy covers disruption.
What does ATOL protection not cover?
ATOL protects you if the travel company fails. It does not deal with cancellations, complaints, delays or medical costs, and anything you book separately from the package is not covered. Our ATOL protection page explains more.
Can I combine a Bali villa with a city stopover?
