Our Larnaca holidays are a town-centre stay on the south-east coast of Cyprus: 3, 5 or 7 nights at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Larnaca. Return economy flights from the UK, daily breakfast and private airport transfers are included. Prices are on request, quoted for your travel dates per person based on two sharing. This is a single-hotel stay in Larnaca town rather than a beach resort out of town. From the hotel you can walk to the promenade, the marina and the old quarter. Lunch and dinner are yours to choose in town.
Nothing beyond the package is booked for you. The day plan follows the longest stay and is a suggestion, not a schedule. On a shorter stay, keep the arrival, the town day and Hala Sultan Tekke, and drop the optional days. Excursions, car hire and diving can be booked locally, or priced into your quote before you travel.

Fly from the UK to Larnaca, where your driver meets you after baggage reclaim. Once you have checked in, walk down to the seafront for an evening stroll and a first meze.
A day with no transport needed. Walk the old quarter in the morning, before the heat builds, then stop at the marina for lunch. Keep the afternoon slow and book dinner somewhere you passed on the way.
Take a short taxi ride to Hala Sultan Tekke, an Ottoman-era mosque among palm trees on the lake shore. Cover shoulders and knees to go inside. You can be back in town for a late lunch.
Hire a car or book a driver for one of the longer trips. In summer, set off early, as the midday heat makes sightseeing hard work. If you would rather stay put, treat it as a free day.
Keep one day unplanned. Use the pool and spa, or wander back into town for a long lunch. A rest day halfway through makes the trips either side more enjoyable.
Use the day for whichever trip you skipped earlier, or book an activity with a local operator. Otherwise, keep it as a second slow day in town before the journey home.
Settle any hotel extras the evening before, so the morning is unhurried. Your driver collects you at a time set by your flight for the return to the UK.

Larnaca, Cyprus is a working town rather than a purpose-built resort, with the airport on its southern edge. That makes holidays to Larnaca one of the easier European holidays to take outside summer.
For autumn 2026, October and early November are the pick: hot days, easier evenings, and a sea above 22°C until late November.
December to February is the wettest stretch, with the sea at 16–17°C. It is winter sun for walking and sightseeing, not a week on a lounger.

Direct flights take about 4½ hours from London and 4¾ to 5 hours from Manchester and Birmingham. Coming home takes about 30 minutes more. Clocks in Cyprus run 2 hours ahead of UK time year-round. Your UK departure airport and flight times are confirmed with your quote.
Finikoudes is the town beach, roughly 600 metres of sand below the palm promenade, between the marina and the medieval fort. Mackenzie lies south towards the airport: a longer strip with beach bars and water sports, and planes landing low overhead. Stay in town and take a taxi to Mackenzie for a beach-bar day.
Greater flamingos winter on the Salt Lake from about November to March. A dry winter means a low lake and fewer birds, so treat them as likely, not certain. The 2.2 km² wetland is protected under Ramsar and Natura 2000, and a 4 km path follows its edge towards the Kamares aqueduct. Bring binoculars.
Larnaca is a convenient base for day trips:
Cyprus drives on the left. A UK photocard licence is accepted, while a paper licence needs a photocard or an International Driving Permit. In town you need no car.
Cars hired in the Republic are often not insured in the north. If you plan to drive across, buy cover at the crossing point, or park and cross on foot in Nicosia instead.
Your passport needs an issue date under 10 years old on arrival and at least 3 months' validity beyond your return date. Stays of up to 90 days need no visa. Cyprus is outside Schengen, so passports are stamped in and out and the days don't count towards your Schengen allowance.
The Foreign Office confirms the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) does not apply in Cyprus. ETIAS, the EU's planned online travel authorisation, is not yet running and has no confirmed start date. Check the latest position before you book.
It suits couples and friends who want to walk out of the hotel into town and spend a day or two exploring by car. The short transfer makes a long weekend workable. It does not suit anyone after a secluded beach or all inclusive. Look instead at our other Cyprus holidays, or a Zante beach holiday in summer.
