Larnaca’s magnificent Byzantine Saint Lazarus Church, built over the original tomb of the biblical Lazarus in the ninth century, is one of the most historically significant early Christian monuments in the eastern Mediterranean, its extraordinary three-aisled Byzantine architecture and the important Saint Lazarus icon among the most revered in the entire Orthodox world and a genuinely moving monument to visit.
Day Trips to Paphos & Ayia Napa
Larnaca’s central location on Cyprus makes it the ideal base for exploring the island’s most important attractions as day trips. The extraordinary UNESCO Roman mosaics and Byzantine churches of Paphos to the west, and the famous beaches and extraordinary sea caves of the Cape Greco area near Ayia Napa to the east, are both within comfortable day-trip driving distance of the hotel.
Arrive at Larnaca Airport – the closest major airport in Cyprus to the city – and transfer to Radisson Blu Hotel, Larnaca Hotel, Larnaca. Walk the palm-lined seafront and choose a waterfront restaurant for a first Cypriot meze dinner.
