Is Bali a good honeymoon destination?

Which area suits a honeymoon?

Private villa honeymoons
A pool villa in our packages means a one-bedroom villa inside a resort, with a plunge pool behind its own wall. You get privacy without giving up the resort’s breakfast, spa, housekeeping and front desk. That differs from renting a standalone villa, where you are often the only guests, meals depend on a cook you arrange and nobody is on hand at night.
For a first trip to Bali, the resort version is the safer choice. It also means the honeymoon extras are organised for you. These are written into the packages rather than left to chance.

When should you go on honeymoon to Bali?

UK school holidays push prices up most. July 2027 on the Romantic Bali Escape costs £3,169pp in economy, the highest economy price on that package next year. December 2026 is priced on request only.
Check your dates against Nyepi. Bali’s Day of Silence falls on Monday 8 March 2027. Ngurah Rai airport shuts for 24 hours, and hotels keep guests on site with lights low. If your wedding is in early March, move your arrival or departure by a day.
Galungan falls on 13 January and 11 August 2027, with Kuningan ten days after each. Villages put up tall bamboo penjor poles and temples are busy with offerings, which is a good time to see ceremonies. Some local businesses close for a day or two.
Before you go
- Temples: both of you need a sarong and sash, with shoulders covered. Many temples lend them at the gate, but carrying your own saves queueing.
