How much does a multi-centre holiday cost? It depends mainly on the route, the month and the cabin, and the gap between the cheapest and dearest trips is wide. The figures below come from current package prices for multi-centre holidays in 2026 and 2027, from a two-stop Bali trip to a four-stop tour of the USA and Hawaii. A multi-centre holiday from the UK costs from about £1,200pp to £3,850pp in economy for 7 to 14 nights, two sharing. That covers return flights, hotels and the flights or transfers between stops. Business class costs about 1.8 to 3.6 times the economy price for the same month. The month you travel changes the price on every route. Packages are protected under ATOL 10713.

The six examples run from a two-stop Bali trip to a Dubai and Maldives stay in two 5-star resorts. Each is a live package, not a guide price.

Where the money goes
A multi-centre price bundles four things into one figure. Knowing which of them grow when you add a stop explains how the total is built.
- Long-haul flights from the UK. Air Passenger Duty is added to the fare.
- Hotels on each leg. Priced per night, so the split between a city and a beach changes the total.
- The link between stops. A short flight, a speedboat or a seaplane, depending on the route.
- Transfers. Airport to hotel at each end of every leg.
Adding a centre adds a connecting journey, a second arrival day and a second set of transfers. It does not add another long-haul return. That is visible in the packages themselves. The Dubai and Mauritius trip includes the flight from Dubai to Mauritius and private transfers throughout. The four-stop Asia tour includes every internal flight between Dubai, Bangkok, Bali and Singapore. The USA and Hawaii trip includes all domestic flights, and the Dubai and Maldives package covers the domestic flight and speedboat to the resort.
The duty applies to flights leaving UK airports, and the rate depends on your cabin and on the distance from London to the capital of your destination country. From 1 April 2026, Band B (2,001 to 5,500 miles) is £102 in economy and £244 in other cabins. The UAE, the Maldives and the USA fall in Band B. Band C, over 5,500 miles, takes in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and Mauritius at £106 and £253. Band B rises to £105.33 and £251.95 on 1 April 2027, and Band C to £109.46 and £261.25.
What drives the price
Four levers move a multi-centre quote. Each shows up somewhere in the route table.
The month you travel
Set each row’s dearest month against its from price and the spread becomes clear. On the Los Angeles and Las Vegas trip the dearest month is over a quarter above the cheapest. On the Bali trip it is about two-thirds higher, and on the USA and Hawaii tour over two-thirds. Both of those peak in July, when UK schools break up for the summer.
The cheapest month in the route table is the one to quote first, and moving your dates by a week or two can cross into it. On the Dubai and Maldives package, an October 2026 departure is £4,129pp in economy against £3,849pp in November.
The cabin
Compare the economy and business columns. On the Bali row, business costs about three times economy, while on the Asia tour it is a little over double.
The hotel and room on the beach leg
On the Dubai and Mauritius trip the beach stop takes seven of the ten nights. Its room rate therefore carries more of the total than the Dubai hotel. The Dubai and Maldives row is the dearest in the table and the only one with a private-island resort.
Nights and stops
Divide each from price by its nights and the ranking changes. The Bali trip works out at about £108pp a night and Dubai and Mauritius at about £158. The four-stop Asia tour is about £174 and Los Angeles and Las Vegas about £197, despite being the shortest trip. The USA and Hawaii tour is about £212, and Dubai and the Maldives about £385. A short trip spreads the flight cost over fewer nights, so a 7-night package is not automatically the cheaper option per night.
Taxes and fees on top of (or inside) the price
Some destinations charge visitors directly. Others add the charge to the room bill or the air fare. Ask which of these a quote already covers, because the answer depends on the hotel and the airline.

How to make a multi-centre holiday cheaper
The choices that move the price most are made before you ask for a quote, not after it arrives.
- Ask for two versions of the split. Moving a night between the city and the beach changes the total, and the cheaper direction depends on the two hotels. Four city nights and six beach nights is a different price from two and eight.
- Price the beach room before the villa. Ask for the entry room category as well as the one you want, so you can see what the upgrade adds across the whole stay.
- Consider 4-star hotels. The Bali trip, the lowest-priced row in the table, uses 4-star hotels on both legs.

Is it worth the extra over a single destination?
It suits a trip of 10 nights or more that pairs a short city stay with a long beach stay, or that breaks up a long journey east.

How to compare multi-centre quotes like for like
Two quotes for the “same” multi-centre trip can differ for reasons that have nothing to do with value. Beyond the price levers above, line up these points:
- Cabin. Economy on both, or business on both.
- Board basis on each leg. Bed and breakfast on one leg and half board on the other is a different trip from bed and breakfast throughout.
- Transfer type between stops. In the Maldives, a seaplane or a domestic flight plus speedboat.
- UK departure airport. London, Manchester and regional airports can price differently.
- One booking or several. A total built from separate flight and hotel bookings is not directly comparable with a package price.
