Your flight lands at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Our representative meets you in arrivals and your driver takes you to Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. After check-in, a few hours at the pool or on the beach are the easiest way to settle in before any sightseeing, and an early night helps after the flight.
Spend today in Downtown Dubai, where the Burj Khalifa observation decks, The Dubai Mall and the Dubai Fountain sit together in one district. Book Burj Khalifa tickets ahead if you want a sunset slot, then stay on for the fountain shows after dark before heading back to the Palm for dinner.
A desert safari fits well into the afternoon: a 4×4 drive over the dunes, then a barbecue dinner at a Bedouin-style camp as the sun goes down. Your specialist can reserve one before you travel. If you would rather stay close to the resort, keep the day for the beach and an early night before tomorrow’s drive.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is in the Saadiyat Cultural District, on the same island as your resort. Visit in the morning, before the midday heat, and book tickets ahead. Keep the afternoon for the resort’s beach or pools, and book dinner at one of the resort’s restaurants or a short taxi ride away on Saadiyat.
Zayed National Museum, the UAE’s national museum, opened in the Saadiyat Cultural District on 3 December 2025, in a building designed by Foster + Partners. The Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi opened nearby in November 2025, and teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, an interactive art space, in April 2025. Visit in the morning, when the island is cooler, then return to the resort’s beach.
Keep the day for a last swim and a late-afternoon walk along the beach. After your seventh night, check out and transfer to Zayed International Airport (AUH) for your scheduled flight back to the UK. The airport took this name in February 2024, so older bookings, apps and signs may still show Abu Dhabi International Airport. It is the same airport and code.

Both bases are beach resorts. From the Palm, Downtown Dubai and the Burj Khalifa are a taxi ride away, so each sightseeing day starts in a car. For a hotel you can walk out of into the city, compare where else to stay in Dubai.
Saadiyat is Abu Dhabi's beach-and-museum island, home to the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Yas Island, with its theme parks and the Formula 1 circuit, is the main alternative base, and your specialist can check whether it can be swapped in.
This pairing suits couples and friends who want a busier start close to Dubai's sights, a slower finish and beach time in both emirates. It suits theme-park families less well, and it is the wrong choice for nightlife every evening in Abu Dhabi.
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque makes a half-day trip from Saadiyat. Every visitor must pre-book an access pass on the mosque's official website. Women need loose clothing to the ankles, sleeves to the wrists and their hair fully covered. Men should cover their legs and avoid sleeveless or tight tops.
