You land in Hong Kong and are driven to Dorsett Mongkok. Ride the Peak Tram up Victoria Peak, cross the harbour on the Star Ferry, walk the Temple Street and Ladies’ Market stalls, or take a ferry out to Lantau for the Big Buddha.
After breakfast a private car takes you to Hong Kong airport for the flight to Denpasar. In Bali you are met and driven to Nandini Jungle by Hanging Gardens.
Walk the Campuhan Ridge path, see the Tegallalang rice terraces early before the crowds, or visit the water temple at Tirta Empul. Wear a sarong and cover your shoulders at temples.
A private car takes you to Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali, your base for the final week.
Visit Uluwatu Temple on its cliff for the evening Kecak dance, try the beaches at Padang Padang and Bingin, or see the fish market at dawn. Keep at least two days free for the pool and the sand.
After breakfast your private transfer takes you to Ngurah Rai airport for the flight back to London.

Dorsett Mongkok is a 285-room hotel at 88 Tai Kok Tsui Road on the Kowloon side, about 7 minutes' walk from Olympic MTR station. It runs a free shuttle bus into town, which saves working out the MTR on your first morning. Hong Kong airport is about 30 minutes away by car, so the arrival transfer after the long-haul flight is short.

The Jungle View Villa looks out over the forest canopy and has generous outdoor living space, so much of the day can be spent outside your own door. On site there is a pool, a spa, and a bar and lounge, which makes quiet evenings at the resort easy. It is a stay for walks, reading and early starts rather than nightlife.

Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali is on Jalan Wanagiri, about 100 metres from Jimbaran Beach, so the sand is a short walk away rather than on the doorstep. The pool, spa and restaurants are all within the property. That makes it an easy place to spend whole days without a car. For a sunset dinner on the sand, the walk down to the beach is the only journey needed.

October and April are the compromise months, with neither end at its worst. In March 2027, Nyepi falls on Monday 8 March. Bali's airport closes for 24 hours and visitors stay inside their hotel. Nandini Jungle sits in Buahan village, Payangan, in the hills outside central Ubud. There are no cafés or shops on the doorstep. For an evening in Ubud itself, ask us to add a driver when you request a quote.
The week at the coast comes last for a practical reason. Jimbaran is about 15 minutes from Ngurah Rai airport, so departure day has no long drive. The bay faces west, so sunsets are over the water, and seafood is grilled on the sand each evening. It is quieter than Seminyak. Nusa Dua is a purpose-built resort area, whereas Jimbaran is still a working fishing village with hotels along the bay.

Hong Kong lets British citizens visit for up to 6 months without a visa. Your passport must be valid for at least one month after you leave Hong Kong.
Indonesia is stricter. You need a passport valid for 6 months from the day you arrive, with 2 blank pages, and proof of your return journey. The visa on arrival costs IDR 500,000 for 30 days, payable by cash or card, or you can buy an e-visa online at least a week ahead. Complete the free All Indonesia arrival form within 72 hours of arrival. Bali also charges a tourist levy of IDR 150,000 per visitor, paid online or on arrival. Check FCDO advice before you travel.
